Built by people who actually run hospice billing.

Mira™ began as a billing service. Ten years of running revenue cycles for hospice and home-health agencies taught us where the software fails — and what to build.

The Mira™ story

We didn’t start with software.

We started as a billing service. A team of coders, billers, and compliance specialists running revenue cycles for hospice and home-health agencies across the country. We knew the payer rules. We knew the documentation requirements. We knew which clearinghouses dropped claims on Fridays.

What we didn’t know was why the software kept failing us. Denial queues that refreshed hourly but couldn’t predict a denial before it happened. IDG prep that ate three hours of a nurse’s morning every two weeks. Compliance dashboards that told you something went wrong after a surveyor found it.

So we stopped waiting for the market to fix itself. We built our own platform — first to run our own managed-billing operation, then to sell as a product to agencies who wanted the same capability without handing off their billing entirely. The software we built is what we wished we had in year one. Ten years of hard-earned hospice knowledge is compiled into it.

Today the platform is the product. Most agencies buy the software, bring it in-house, and run it with their own teams. That’s what Mira™ is built for. What “Mira” means

A name that crosses languages.

“Mira” is a name that crosses languages and traditions — in Spanish it means “to watch over,” in Sanskrit it carries the devotional voice of the mystic-poet Mirabai, and in Latin it is the root of “miracle.” All three converge on the work we do: watching over people in the most important seasons of their lives.

    42 CFR 418 is where we live. We’re building a continuous compliance layer that flags documentation gaps in real time — so survey prep is never a scramble.

  • More languages

    Spanish is live across the platform and family portal. We’re adding more languages as we expand into communities that have historically been underserved by English-only healthcare software.
